Birketts LLP, one of the largest office employers in Ipswich Town Centre, had for many years been expanding and were beginning to suffer from being located in range of buildings across the town.

We worked with Birketts to help them understand their property needs and to design an appropriate building for them.

A 1 acre site was identified in a prime location in Princes Street in Ipswich and following detailed design a planning consent was granted. The 5 storey fully air-conditioned office scheme includes a roof garden on the upper floor.

Following completion of the office building Birketts entered into a long term lease with the created investment being sold to Ipswich Borough Assets, a wholly owned entity of Ipswich Borough Council.

We were delighted to be able to help Birketts LLP to achieve their ambition of housing all their staff under one roof. Their headquarters building now provides a major landmark for Ipswich.

Providence House was a finalist at the British Council for Offices Awards 2019 and was awarded Highly Commended for Best Commercial Project at the Local Authority Building Control awards 2019.
